Barley Buttermilk Bread

  • 3 Cups Bread flour
  • 1 Cup Western Trails Barley flour
  • 1/4 Cup Powdered Buttermilk*
  • 2 Tablespoon butter or canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 package Yeast
  • 1 1/4 Cup warm water

*1 cup fresh buttermilk (warm) plus 1/4 to 1/2 C warm water to make soft dough.

Some add fresh whipped egg.

Follow regular bread cycle for machine. Use normal bread instructions for conventional baking. Allow slightly longer bake time for fresh buttermilk.
